Contact pictures

I went into the yerba buena garden in San Francisco to offer people on the street a moment of contact. This idea started from a picture from Abramovic & Ulay. I showed people this piece of art to get to them and told them I would bring these pictures back into the gallery.

In preparation....

Febr. 8th I will start my project in San Diego. I will be there for 4 days to check the space and will meet Brian Goeltzenleuchter (curator) to talk about the exhibition Family Matters.
On friday I will fly to San Francisco to be there for 1 1/2 week. I will take pictures there to get in contact with people. I will use them for the exhibition at Sushi. The approach of my work will be around the theme contact: Being there or Not? People are wandering around more and more and are looking for things to hold on to. Through performances (actions) and installations I will explore the possibillities to make contact with people. Or should I hide?
